How we do it
Lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise and automatic emergency braking all read the road through a camera bonded to the glass. Manufacturers require recalibration after any windshield replacement.
We run the calibration procedure the manufacturer specifies — static targets, dynamic drive cycle, or both — and confirm no fault codes remain before we leave.
Shops that skip this step hand you back a car whose emergency braking may fire late, early, or not at all. We don't hand a vehicle back uncalibrated.
